Tally & Grow ("the app") is a personal finance and investment tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Tally & Grow does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal or financial data. There is no account, no login, and no server backend operated by the developer. All of your financial data — accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, and investment holdings — is stored locally on your device only.
All app data (accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, investment holdings) is stored in a local database on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup file yourself. Backup files you create are saved to your device's storage under your control; the developer has no access to them.
The app connects to the internet only to fetch public market data needed to show live prices for stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and cryptocurrency, and to convert between currencies. These requests only ever contain a ticker symbol or currency code — never your name, account balances, transaction history, or any other personal or financial information. The services used are:
These are third-party public data providers; the app does not send them any identifying information about you or your device.
If you enable the optional biometric lock, Tally & Grow uses your device's built-in biometric authentication (fingerprint/face unlock) via Android's standard BiometricPrompt API. Your biometric data is handled entirely by the Android operating system and is never accessed, seen, or stored by the app or the developer.
The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or storage-wide permissions.
Tally & Grow contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
The app is a general personal-finance tool and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
